Aunque el tweed nació en 1830, formando parte de la aristocracia inglesa y de grupos de cazadores escoceses, no fue hasta un siglo más tarde cuando se popularizó gracias a entre otras la Maison Chanel o Schiaparelli y al uso de este tejido en la indumentaria femenina.

Su uso se fue generalizando sobre todo en los países anglosajones gracias su resistencia a la humedad.

Cocó hizo de este tejido una de sus insignias y de los trajes de dos piezas su estilismo fetiche.

Casi 100 años después las combinaciones de chaquetas vestidos y faldas de tweed son incontables. Se mezclan con vaqueros, colores ácidos, shorts o pedrería y tules.

Lo que no ha perdido es esa elegancia innata de lo que un día fue el tejido para los cazadores ingleses.

Its use was spread, above all, in English-speaking countries thanks to its resistance to humidity.
Coco created an emblem out of this fabric and made her two piece sets a fetish style.

Almost 100 years later, combinations of tweed jackets, dresses and skirts are countless. They are combined with jeans, neon colours, shorts, tulle or studs and stones. What hasn’t been lost is the natural elegance, of what was once the fabric for English hunters.
